Nasri denies involvement in Valbuena sex-tape blackmail

France playmaker Samir Nasri has denied been aware of the sex-tape blackmail of international teammate Mathieu Valbuena after reports in France implicated him in the scandal

Nasri, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury for three months, has promised to clear the air with the Lyon star over what he considers a deliberate attempt to smear his name.
“The fact that he is putting me in this situation… I will have a discussion with him,” Nasri said in an interview. “Honestly, I do not care about this sex tape story. It is not my problem, not my situation. He is the victim, but he must not bring my name out. We are not friends. We will never be. But other people’s misfortune does not make me happy.”
In a related development, the French Football Federation (FFF) has announced it will file civil proceedings in relation to the case involving Valbuena and Karim Benzema, who has been charged with complicity in the blackmail plot.

Both players were axed by Les Blues boss Didier Deschamps for the last international outing, with their euro 2016 hopes hanging by a thread.

Real Madrid striker Benzema, through his agent Sylvain Cormier, has denied the allegations.

According to French laws, parties such as the FFF are able to bring a civil action and make a claim for compensation if they feel they have suffered damage or injury as a result.
