Four Britons dead after helicopter crash in New Zealand

FOUR British tourists are believed to be among seven people killed in a helicopter crash in New Zealand, police said. Two Australians are also thought to have been killed after the aircraft plummeted into a remote glacier tourist spot on Saturday.

Rescue teams in helicopters reached the crash site but found no sign of survivors, rescue co-ordinators said. The identities of the pilot from New Zeland and six passengers have not been released.
Recovery of the wreckage was hampered by difficult weather conditions and will resume tomorrow, police said. The helicopter crashed in a crevasse on the Fox Glacier on the remote west coast of South Island at around 11am (local time).

The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
