Real estate icon Donald Trump has publicly gone after President Barack Obama‘s neck and questioned his leadership amid the emotional riots in Baltimore, Maryland this week.
Trump attacked President Obama and other politicians early Tuesday (April 28) via his Twitter page.
Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill has since responded to Trump’s controversial remark.
Speaking at a press conference Tuesday (April 28), President Obama shut down the ideaof rioting helping bring peace amid the publicized Freddie Gray injustice.
“There’s no excuse for the kind of violence we saw yesterday,” Obama said. “People looting and burning down buildings are not protesting, they are criminals. If our society really wanted to solve the problem, we could, but it requires everybody saying this is important… and that we don’t just pay attention to these communities when a CVS burns. We can’t just leave this to the police. It is not a protest. It is not a statement. It is a handful of people taking advantage of the situation.” (White House Press Conference)
The danger of riots has forced Baltimore sports teams and schools to cancel scheduled events.
The Baltimore Orioles game with the Chicago White Sox that was scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Tuesday has been postponed, the team announced. The Baltimore Ravens canceled their draft party scheduled for Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium “out of respect to the curfew in Baltimore,” according to the NFL team. The NFL draft is set to begin Thursday night in Chicago. (CNN)
